The Sixth Floor Museum tells the story of the assassination of John F. Kennedy in Dallas on the morning of November 22, 1963. The museum takes you through a short history of the president's campaign and first years in office. Then it takes you to the trip to Texas and the corner window where the shots were fired. Following the shooting, is the crisis period, the investigations and the impending question - Who did it? An audio tape is available as "personal tour guide" that will take you through the museum and explain everything you are seeing. There are also television screens set up throughout the museum that shows clips of the president, his campaign and the assassination.

Women's Museum was founded and established by Cathy Bonner who had a dream about a place that told the stories of women's accomplishments throughout American history. The museum opened September 29, 2000, providing an educational and interesting atmosphere where men and women alike can honor and learn about the contributions of American women.

Dallas Holocaust Museum is "dedicated to reducing prejudice by teaching about the Holocaust, preserving the experience of those who survived, and honoring the memory of those who perished." The museum is not recommended for children under the sixth grade level and parental discretion is strongly advised.

The museum prides itself in collecting and preserving works of art diverse cultures and throughout the centuries. Meadows Museum is located on the campus of Southern Methodist University and is a division of the university's Meadows School of the Arts. It contains one of the largest collections of Spanish art outside of Spain from the past ten centuries. SMU's Meadows School of the Arts also provides performances incorporating a variety of musical and artistic genres and the museum presents films that parallels with pieces of art in the facility.

Dallas Museum of Natural History is the only collections-based, research-driven public natural history museum in the area. The staff includes paleontologists and archaeologists which allows the museum to actively showcase its knowledge to the public. The current collection at the museum contains over 280,000 specimens and the first mounted Texas dinosaur in Texas.
